Anyone would think that Simon and Juliet Dale have it all, a beautiful child, fabulous home, social status. She runs a PR firm. He’s a successful banker. They’re the envy of their friends. The ‘perfect’ couple. 

 

But the Dales are fraying at the edges. In her late 30's, Juliet is unexpectedly pregnant ,her husband, Simon’s, addictive personality has taken control of him and he’s funneling his significant income into cocaine, alcohol, and gambling - his partying is out of control. 

 

At their annual Halloween bash, Juliet goes into an early and fast labor. An alcohol and drug-addled Simon reluctantly leaves the party and his lover, Electra, to escort his wife to the hospital. The following morning, after the birth of their baby girl, Simon receives news that his mother, Ruby, has died. 

 

It’s at Ruby’s gorgeous Half Moon Bay beach house that Juliet sees an opportunity to get her family back on track. She gives Simon an ultimatum - they move to Half Moon Bay and he cleans up his act or they get divorced.
